Letter Writing Campaign To CA Senators/Assemblymen

Dear Friends:
Please join the CADEFLAW Group in a letter writing campaign to the California Legislators as we request them to author a bill that would make it unlawful to defame a person who is deceased. Slander and Libel are not protected expressions of speech under the "First Amendment" while a person is living. The same protection should be extended to a person after they are deceased. The loved ones of someone who has passed on should not have to live with the continued defamatory stories that can so easily be paraded as fact.

This EVENT will be on going until a California Legislator Senator decides to take on this bill or we employ a constitutional lawyer to assist us with this task; whichever comes first.

If you agree with the idea that the "Legacy" of those deceased should be protected please sign the petition and send letters to the California Legislators. The CADEFLAW group would like to thank ALL of you, in advance, who choose to participate in this campaign. Please send as many letters as you can and PASS THIS INFO around.

Please find the form letter on the info tab of the CADEFLAW fb page and the CA legislators names/addresses/contact links on the note page. Will add more names as they become available.

Letters can be sent via:         1.Regular mail          2. Email

Please email a copy of your letters to cadeflaw_group@yahoo.com. We will be collecting the letters to take or send to the legislators, also.
